About Us

B2 Financial Services (registered as BSQD Financial Services) is an independent brokerage with specialist knowledge and experienced in the Medical Aid field, Gap Cover, Short-Term Personal and Commercial Insurance, Live Cover & Investments, Funeral Cover, and Estate Preservation. We work with various financial service providers without any special sales agreements, that puts us in a position to give independent advice and to tailor solutions for our clients to address their particular needs.

B2 is an owner-run business that was founded in 2014 to focus on supporting corporate clients and families with products to enhance their journey through all life stages. As a business we’ve grown with our clients to work with them, and not for them, which emphasises our partnership with them to help them achieve their health and wealth goals.

In 2018 we were recognised with the bronze award in the FNB/ROCCI Business of the Year event, in the Professional Services category. This underlines our commitment to our clients to always give sound financial advice with their interests at heart.

Our business is currently a Level 2 BB-EEE contributor and based on the West Rand in Gauteng. We hold the relevant indemnity insurance cover as required, and are compliant with all legislative standards relating to our industry. We adhere to the Treating the Customer Fairly (TCF),
Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act and is an Authorised Financial Services Provider.

MANAGEMENT

Mathys Booyens entered the insurance industry right off his high-school seat in 1999 as an all-round administrator at Medscheme, one of the largest medical aid administrators in South Africa. After a long stint of dealing with administrative matters including call centre duties, claims processing, client liaison, and sales, he moved to Liberty Health Medical Scheme as a broker consultant. In this role, he was responsible for training and development of advisors and ultimately for new sales.

He recognised an opportunity not to be missed when he was approached to head up the healthcare department at an independent broker, as an independent adviser. Mathys’ focus there was to create a healthcare environment that gives adequate advice on Medical Aid and other insurance products, and to establish a high-tech platform to ensure the clients receive professional advice and after sales service.

Today, as the Managing Director and Key individual of his own independent brokerage, he focuses on medical aid and multiple other financial product offerings.
